From Jeanette: Celebrate With Me

As I’m turning one year older today, the importance of memory keeping is readily on my mind. Time really does fly by (and it seems to accelerate with each passing year!), which is why it’s so important to tell our stories and preserve them in albums so they live forever.

If you’ve been following this blog, you’ll know that memory keeping is at the heart of everything I do. I feel like it’s my mission in life to help others realize the importance of preserving memories—and to show them how to do it in a fun and fulfilling way! From sharing this company’s message about memory keeping with our “Life Is Worth” video and telling the story of how I started this company in my basement, to talking about the importance of documenting the little things that make us unique (like my love of “I Love Lucy”) and inviting you to submit your scrapbook stories through Stories from the Heart, this blog is such a wonderful place to get inspired and connect with others who share your passion. It’s where I can share with you my thoughts and feelings about memory keeping, and it’s where you can see beautiful artwork and learn techniques and strategies to make memory keeping a reality in your life.

Sending you all my love,

  1. I was able to document some stories about me and my grandma before she passed away. I was able to put the pictures of us doing some of the trips together.
Also, my mom is fighting lung cancer and I’m documenting her life story so my girls will have it to pass on to their children so they can know her the way my girls know her.

Bitter sweet memories to document so they aren’t forgotten.

  2. I have a grandbaby who just turned two and have been documenting his life in scrapbooks. I love looking back on the wonderful times with him..But also recognizing how much he has changed! I look forward to continuing watching this marvelous little boy continue to grow and change and be able to document it.

  3. Memories are like looking through windows with views of the past. Wonderful events. Sad or tragic happenings. Humorous times and celebrations. All of these memories make us who we are. I want to document them and scrapbook them into beautiful artwork so my family can remember these with me. Thank you Jeanette for my 22 wonderful years with Close To My Heart!

  4. Firstly, Happy birthday Jeanette and every blessing for a wonderful year.
Memory keeping is vital to me as it allows everyone to keep connected and re-live the events which the photos tell the stories. It allows the younger members of our families to have knowledge of family (present and past) and events that thread their families together. Without our photos of these people and events, the stories would not get passed on. It also allows everyone to feel part of their history, even if not present at any particular time.

  6. Life passes by so fast, and everyday is a gift not to be taken advantage. There is nothing better than looking through all my scrapbooks and see the memories that have shaped us good and bad.

  7. Memory keeping is so important to me because I want my children and grandchildren to be able to look at my albums and remember all the great times we had together. My parents and grandparents were not very big on taking photos, so my brothers and I hardly have anything to remind us of all the fun we had growing up. I’m really sad about that. (I’m already subscribed.)

Congratulations to the other winners. Memory-keeping is so important and we learn so much about ourselves from our past. I am proud to be a part of the CTMH family.
