The holidays are a time for fun, family, and tradition. One of the most anticipated activities of the year is decorating the house in its festive finest. From the Christmas tree to the lights outside, decorating for the holidays allows you to turn your home into your own piece of art! To help you in this artistic endeavor, we want to show you some fun ways to add a truly personal touch to your home décor with the Merry Little Christmas special!

The Merry Little Christmas special includes three wood ornament options and two wood tag options to bring some three-dimensional fun to your holiday decorations. These beautiful ornaments and tags are the perfect way to add your own festive touch to the boughs of your tree and the gifts under it!

These tags and ornaments are made of sturdy wood pieces, and they not only look fantastic, but are super easy and fun to make! Each ornament is constructed by fitting two interlocking pieces to form gorgeous 3-D decorations. Once they’ve been fitted together, they can be easily secured with a bit of glue and strung onto some decorative thread for a festive finishing touch.

Before you fit your ornament pieces together, you’ll want to think about how to decorate them. Each ornament and tag come with a coordinating digital file, so you can cut perfect paper overlays to complement your Christmas creations!

In addition to decorating with these digital art file cut-outs, you can also embrace the natural wood look and keep your embellishing to a minimum. This round wood ornament is lightly decorated with just a few dots of Liquid Pearls ™, and the results are stunning!

For a more colorful look that still retains some of the natural wood finish, try using re-inkers, TriBlend™ markers, glitter gels, glitter glues, texture pastes, embossing powders, or our new Distress Oxide ™ inks.

For the Christmas tags that have small cut-outs, you can even put a piece of your favorite pattern or glitter paper behind it for a peek-a-boo effect, or two attach two tags together, back-to-back, for some added dimension. These wood pieces can also be stamped on, so add your own choice of patterns or sentiments!

No matter how you choose to decorate your ornaments and tags, or where you place them in your home, the Merry Little Christmas special is a wonderful way to combine your Christmas cheer with your natural creativity! 3-D Cards that Pack a Punch

What’s that in the sky—is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a super-amazing handmade card we made using the incredible powers of the Cricut® Artfully Sent collection! Have a look:

Don’t let its mild-mannered exterior fool you, because its true powers lie within:

Ta-da! This 3-D pop-up card is just one of the many themed cards available on the Cricut® Artfully Sent collection. Let’s take a closer look at how it all comes together.

Step 1: Cut all your card pieces. You’ll find all the shapes you need on the <j> key of your Artfully Sent collection.

You’ll notice we’ve cut the interactive feature of the super hero body multiple times—once from the Regatta ombré paper, once from a Regatta Picture My Life™ card, and once from gold glitter paper. That gives us the layers we need to make our hero pop out even more in the center of the card. We’ve also cut multiples of the “Happy Birthday” and “Super Hero” sentiments. For the backing piece, we used the Contour feature in Cricut Design Space™, but those shapes are also simple enough to trim out by hand.

Step 2: Match up your layers! For your top layer, trim the suit pieces out of the Picture My Life paper and add them to your ombré paper, which is going to be the main part of the inside of your card. Take the lightning bolt from the negative cut of your glitter paper to make your hero’s lightning bolt shine. Feel free to add a few other glitter embellishments like boot cuffs, too!

Step 3: Put the outside of your card together. We’ve kept it unassuming using a simple piece of zip strip and the Happy Birthday layered sentiment. 3-D foam tape gives some dimension to the front of your card.

Step 4: Attach the inside of your card to the card base, adding sequins, the super hero cape, and another zip strip to give it a completed look.

This fun card is just one of many, many different cards you can make using the Cricut® Artfully Sent collection. 4 Crafts to Do Before Easter Comes Hopping

Today! It’s today! Spring has arrived in our little corner of the world, and we couldn’t be happier about it. What’s your favorite part of spring? For us, the Easter holiday is a major highlight. For so very many reasons, this holiday brings joy and giddiness to the hearts of folks big and small.

In preparation for the holiday, we’ve pulled out some of our favorite Easter stamps to create some truly egg-cellent projects.

Happy Easter Canvas Trio
This canvas trio makes a cozy Easter-season wall piece. Who can resist this gorgeous Easter lily image in combination with the letters from the Hopscotch Alphabet stamp set (E1028)? We’ve added some flora to these versatile canvases to portray the beautiful message of new life that Easter is all about. To achieve the beautiful colors on these pieces, we turned first to our ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ markers. Then we used the blending pen to pick up ink from various Exclusive Inks™ pads to apply some softer tones.

4 ½” x 4 ½” Chick Card
With a stamp this precious, we couldn’t help but create a truly adorable card. We once again used the blending pen to add color from our chosen Exclusive Inks™ pads. Don’t you love the shading spectrum you can achieve this way? This little chick has got to be the cutest one in town!

Easter Egg Drawstring Bags
My Creations™ muslin drawstring bags will delight anyone you give them to! We stamped the fancy egg image directly onto our bag using black StazOn™ ink. Once dry, we used an array of Exclusive Inks™ pads and the blending pen to “dye” our egg. We love that every stamped egg can be a unique work of art all its own! Without the headache of vinegar dyes and cartons full of hard-boiled eggs, you’ve got yourself a picturesque (and nonperishable) final product.

Before gifting your creation, place a small surprise inside and attach a simple tag. We used our Cricut® Artiste cartridge, hand-stamped an image on the tag, and once again used the blending pen to apply bold pops of color that invoke the beauties of blossoming spring.

Decorative Carrots
You’ll never guess the secret ingredients we used to make this delicious bunny bait: The Scaredy Cat and Chalk It Up paper packets! Who would’ve dreamed these papers could be used for Easter? It’s just more proof of how our B&T papers can be turned into fun 3-D home décor pieces in a hop. And why not sweeten the deal by stuffing them with jelly beans?
