2. My Acrylix® Wavy Blooms
The flowers in this stamp set practically bloom off the page! They’re breezy and beautiful and will effortlessly take on any color you choose. We love using ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ markers to create luminous spectrums that radiate from the page, but feel free to color them any which way you please because, honey, you’re the only florist in this flower shop.

3. My Crush™ For Her and For Him Books
We know, we know, we’ve told you we’re in love with our My Crush™ books a thousand times, but this crush just isn’t going away. If anything, it’s getting stronger. We’ve got the love bug, and, with new additions like the For Her and For Him books, we’re proud of it! Everything about these books is on point and, let’s face it, we’re borderline obsessed with them.

4. Carnival and Boardwalk Washi Tape Packs
First there were the strawberries on the cover and now this? Summer can’t come fast enough with all of these new products pouring sunshine into our hearts! This is probably the most versatile washi tape that’s ever come through our doors—you can use it in strips or as individual labels. We can’t wait to see it popping up on all your projects!

 5. My Creations™ Mini Mix Album
Ever since we laid eyes on this little album, our imaginations have been going cuckoo with all the possibilities! It’s small enough to be adorable, but big enough to hold lots of bits and pieces, including all those square photos from your Instagram account. And the variety of vellum, kraft, and white cardstock pages keeps things a little mixed up in the best kind of way.

 6. Blossom and Jackson Assortments
It’s no secret that we love working with papers, stickers, twine, tape, and other things that bend to our creative wills, but every once in a while a crafter likes to use something with a bit more backbone, which is precisely why we’re smitten with these metal-rimmed, enamel-filled pieces! Each one brings a jolt of personality all its own. They are just the right kind of adhesive-backed novelty we love to stick on our projects.

 7. Supersized Diapers
As modeled so elegantly by our COO Brian Holman’s Smart car, these supersized diapers are a godsend to keep your car from making a mess all over town. What’s hiding in YOUR bag?

This month is officially dedicated to organization! With spring coming around the corner and the new incentive for the exciting March recruiting campaign, we felt discussing organization on the blog would be quite fitting. We’ll be sharing all sorts of innovative ideas this month on how to tame your messes and channel their power for good.

Whether we hide them away in basement closets or spread them across kitchen tables, messes are simply a fact of life. There isn’t a person out there who isn’t hiding some kind of mess.

Many of us even carry our messes around with us every day of our lives! This kind of mess can easily go unnoticed because it hides behind the façade of fancy purses and bags that convincingly mask the chaos lurking beneath.

But messes aren’t all bad. Just like everything in life, we believe there is something to be learned from them. So to kick off March with a bang, we went rummaging through Close To My Heart COO Brian Holman’s bag to see what we could find (and learn)!

With photographer in tow, we headed to his office, where he dumped the contents of his bag out on his desk for everyone to see. After seeing what was inside, all we have to say is if you think only women know how to pack a bag ready for anything, think again, folks.

Here’s what came tumbling out of Brian Holman’s bag:

  • 1 ZEISS Pre-Moistened Lens Cleaning Wipe
  • 1 Kleenex® On-the-Go Pack
  • 1 stylus
  • 1 eye mask
  • 1 pack of batteries
  • 1 padfolio
  • 1 bag of toiletries (Band-Aids®, Advil®, antacid, etc.)
  • 1 Apple power adapter
  • 1 Amazon Kindle
  • 1 USB car charger
  • 1 Walmart receipt
  • 1 bottle of Germ-X® Pink Berry
  • 1 glasses case
  • 1 PowerPoint clicker
  • 1 pack of Tic Tac® Freshmints

After inspecting this bag that is basically a portable arsenal decked out to combat anything from low energy levels to infected hands, we’ve come to the conclusion that Brian Holman is a man who is both on the move and exceptionally prepared. “I can put any woman’s purse to shame,” touted Brian, while repacking his belongings.

So unfortunately we have to disagree with Shakespeare on this one: A purse is not nothing—it can tell you a lot more about a person than you may realize!
