The For Always paper collection features the same classic paper designs that made it popular the first time it was available, and for its sequel we’ve paired it with a couple of new coordinating products, including a sticker sheet and coordinating cardstock pack. Also returning to the limelight are two stamp sets whose motifs and sentiments work effortlessly with those of this collection, the elegant Love Doily and In the Background stamp sets!
As you can imagine, we’ve been putting this collection of products to use and have come up with a couple of workshops, complete with free downloadable instructions guides!

One of our favorite features from this collection’s patterned paper designs is their monochrome color scheme. They are all black and white! This is exciting because these neutral colors can be complemented with any primary or secondary color! In layman’s terms, they match pretty much any color!
When we were designing the collection’s new coordinating sticker sheet and choosing colors for the For Always cardstock pack, we kept things neutral and muted.
The For Always coordinating sticker sheet and cardstock are both made up of three neutral colors, French Vanilla, Black, and Toffee, and complemented with three muted colors, Rosemary, Mist, and Desert Rose.
These same colors were used to create the scrapbooking pages and cards from our workshops.

Like we’ve mentioned, one of the advantages of having a monochrome, black and white, patterned paper collection is that you can truly make it your own by pairing it with whatever colors the occasion calls for.
Using the same patterns from the workshop, a simple cardstock color substitute can make all the difference!
Here, we swapped out the Black cardstock from the original design (shown on the left) with Candy Apple and Mulberry cardstock.
Muted colors, like Mulberry, tend to have a more calming effect than their vivid counterparts, like the energizing Candy Apple. When you look at these three cards, each evokes a different emotional response simply based on their featured color.
Whatever feelings you’re hoping to share with the recipient of your handmade card, your color choices are just as important as the sentiment you stamp. Colors breathe life into the world around us. With an unspoken language all their own, colors have the ability to calm, to energize, and to inspire us.
In this second set of cards we replaced the more solemn Mist (top left) with the brighter and lighter Avocado and Wisteria.
The classic patterns from the For Always paper collection paired with the iconic Love Doily stamp set make these transformations effortless!
See how we transformed this third card. Not only did we replace the color Toffee with Seabrook and Ballerina, in both the stamping and the cardstock, but we also flipped the patterned paper over! Just like all other patterned papers from Close To My Heart, the For Always patterned papers have one design on one side and a complementary one on the other. If you ever find yourself making cards or a scrapbook page using one of our workshop guides and you don’t absolutely love the way a piece of patterned paper looks, flip it over and give the opposite side a try!
