If you haven’t gotten down and crafty yet this year, now is the perfect time to start. For our second week celebrating National Papercrafting Month, we created this beautiful, large scale, floral wall décor and are giving you our Cricut Design Space™ file, FREE, to recreate this very same project at home!
(Click on the individual images for a closer look!)
In order to keep things simple, we manipulated shapes from just one of our Cricut® collections, Flower Market, while designing our arrangement. If you don’t own the Cricut® Flower Market Collection, contact your Close To My Heart Consultant (or find one near you, here) to get started.
To give you an idea of the physical size of this project, the center French Vanilla flower is 20″ in diameter, both Peach flowers are 17″, the Lilac flowers are 14″, and the smaller Mint flowers are 13½” each.
When you open the file in Design Space, you will find some hexagon shapes among the petal shapes. These are your bases for each of the flowers. Attach the petals of each flower, layering them from largest to smallest, to these bases. You will also notice that the eyelashes are quite large. They are so large, in fact, that when you attempt to “make it” the program will tell you that you need a 12″ x 24″ mat. We did not use a longer mat to cut these, so there is a way around it! When the prompt comes up, all you need to do is select the image and rotate it to make it fit diagonally in the 12″ x 12″ square.
We don’t want any of our readers to feel left out, so for those of you who do not use Cricut®, a few months ago, our very own Jill Broadbent visited Studio5 and shared how to make similar large paper flowers without a cutting machine.
Download the PDF below for a template to make large paper flowers without a cutting machine.
Every little (and grownup) girl deserves to know just how gorgeous she is! Happy crafting!
Make sure to stop by next week to see what we’ve got in store for a boy’s space using our Urban collection!
Thank you for this template! I have a Cricut but some of my customers do not and I LOVE that thy are included! Also the sizes are helpful for me as I am designing a Flower wall for an upcoming Event!! Thanks again CTMH!
Absolutely gorgeous
Yes this is beautiful, I do agree that flower sizes would be helpful, even if it was just mentioned as a side note
Thanks for the feedback! The center French Vanilla flower is 20″ in diameter, both Peach flowers are 17″, the Lilac flowers are 14″, and the smaller Mint flowers are 13½” each.
Hi! Has this post’s links been removed? When I attempt to open it in Cricut, it says that it’s private.
Is the file supposed to have more than the ears on it?
Yes. Make sure you have access to the Flower Market collection on Design Space. If not, contact your Close To My Heart Consultant to get it. If you’re still having any issues, please reach out again. <3
Note that when you bring it into design space that there are hidden and you have to click on the eye that hides them to show them.
Thank you for such awesome inspiration of artwork!
Such a shame the old Cricut machines using cartridges are no longer catered for. No software to be able to design and create.
Maggie,
CTMH has graciously included a PDF file on how to create these gorgeous flowers without using the Cricut machine!! Love that CTMH did that for us, even when Provo Craft (those that create Cricut) has new machines that only use Design Space! 🙂 How thoughtful & KIND of CTMH to think of those that don’t have Design Space yet! 🙂
As far as the wording—any Cricut machine can cut the words. The font chosen for this project is from our “Flower Market” exclusive Cricut collection…a favorite of mine personally 🙂
Enjoy creating these beautiful flowers! 🙂
That is so pretty… By any chance is there a template for the Unicorn pieces?
Thanks Jessica, glad you like it! We did not create a template for the unicorn parts, just the flowers.
Is there a way to make the final page (78) with the unicorn horn on 12 x 12 paper vs 12 x 24 paper?
When the prompt comes up, all you need to do is select the image and rotate it to make it fit diagonally in the 12″ x 12″ square. We only used 12″ x 12″ paper to make what you see here.
Are there more instructions than this? Help!
Not published. Is there something specifically that you are having a hard time figuring out? Please let us know how we can help. <3
Are you rolling the petals to give them some dimension as they don’t look “flat” in the picture? Also is there a spacing to follow as far as placing the petals onto the various hexagon shapes? Thank you!!
I don’t understand how to get this into design space. Help!
If you click on the link above it should take you into design space. At least it did me!

When trying to cut template it ask for a payment? Is the payment per cut?
Silly question, but could you tell me what pages of the flowers you used each color on? I’m having a hard time distinguishing when to switch colors when preparing the mats. Thank you for the adorable design!

I can not find the cricut file for this project. Am I overlooking it
Here you go: https://design.cricut.com/#/design/191903837
(It’s in the very first paragraph 😉 )
The link above no longer works. To access our file, use this: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/5ee048514024860f78c45ff4 ❤️
Hi I click the link to cricut but when my design space opens it would say private project ,something like that, in red letters. I am using my laptop. Help please
We discovered that the link was affected by an update on Design Space. We’ve updated the link for access to the file. (Here it is, also: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/5ee048514024860f78c45ff4) Sorry for the inconvenience! ❤️
Hi. When I click on the file and open design space it says the project is unavailable and is marked private. Is this still available?
Hello, is this project still available to complete? This would be my 2nd Cricut project as I am a newbie and would love do this for my nieces unicorn themed sleepover. I joined your page and clicked on the link but as the previous two comments, it says project is private. Is there a way to access? Thank you!
Cordelia! We discovered that the link was affected by an update on Design Space. We’ve updated the link for access to the file. Do you still want it a year later? 🤓(Here it is, also, for convenience: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/5ee048514024860f78c45ff4) Sorry for the inconvenience! ❤️
Hello!
I would love to create this for my daughters room. I have opened the file in cricut design space and when I go to create it I am being charged $18.99 to make this design. Do you have this design in another format compatible with cricut design space like an svg file?
Sorry for the late response, but in case you are still interested in making this for your daughter using our design, let’s try to help you out! Our guess is that you do not own the Flower Market Cricut® collection. The design space file created by our Art Studio, with all of the shapes collected, manipulated, and sized to make this awesome wall decor, is what is free. You need to own the Flower Market collection to cut it. If you don’t, you will have to purchase the collection to have access to the file. Hope this helped!
Awesome artwork! Thank you for this inspirational content.
Is this file still active? when I click the link, it opens my design space but nothing appears, please help!
It is still active. Do you own the Flower Market Cricut collection? The shapes for this project were pulled from there.
Jolene! We looked into this further and found out that the link’s access did change as a result of some of the updates on Cricut’s end. Sorry for the confusion. If you are still interested in the project, try this new link: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/5ee048514024860f78c45ff4 (The link in the blog post, above, has also been updated.) Thank you for helping us figure this out!
