Merry Christmas from my family to yours! How I love this time of year and the opportunity to celebrate the birth and life of my Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the reason behind the holiday and the center of my personal and family celebrations. I love everything about Christmas, but most especially how wonderful it is to be surrounded by these dear people who mean so much to me. I hope that your holiday is filled with joy, peace, and merriment in the company of cherished friends and loved ones.
As we look ahead to the start of another year, I am just bursting with excitement for 2019—it marks 35 years since I first began selling stamps and designing my own. Close To My Heart is the amazing company and community that has grown out of those very first efforts of mine, which is why we’re making 2019 an entire year of celebration! We’re kicking off the year with a brand new catalog of products that will launch on January 1—here’s a little peek for you:

The reason I chose that particular stamp set is because of the sentiment, which says “We didn’t realize we were making memories we just knew we were having fun.” I have certainly experienced that many times in my 35 years of business! We may not always be aware of it, but we’re always making memories through all the adventures of this life. My joy in 2019 will be helping my family get back on track after suffering some major losses of loved ones and overcoming some serious illnesses from 2018.
I will be celebrating a college graduation and a new job of a loved one! And…celebrating being with you for 17 years of your 35…one of the BEST decisions I’ve ever made! Love you, Jeanette!

I’m excited to scrapbook about my new granddaughter, Aria Grace, who was born December 13. I plan to use the Girl Layout kit with 10 layouts highlighting her first year. I used the Boy Layout kit to scrapbook my 3rd grandson, Beckett in 2017. I spent Christmas with my daughter’s family in Eagle Mountain (I live in St. Joseph, MO.), so I have so many wonderful Christmas pictures to scrapbook. I’m using the Tis the Season workshop your way for the boys” Christmas pictures. The Oh What Fun workshop Your Way is perfect for scrapbooking pictures of my granddaughter! As soon as I return home, I’ll be meeting weekly with a group of friends and begin scrapbooking my Christmas pictures. I can’t wait!!!
I have a couple big celebrations coming up. First I plan to retire from my job in a school district. This will give me more time to create memories and scrapbook them with the great close to my heart products. Second, we have a wedding, our middle daughter is getting married a month after I retire. I am so blessed!
I will spend the year celebrating my family, friends, health and good fortune to have a life that I love.

Celebrating the strength of family as we ring in 2019. The year 2018 was extremely difficult as I lost my little Brother to cancer 2/24 followed by my Dad on 3/24. A 3rd loss was my Sister-in-law in August. The strength of our family unit has gotten us through so many difficult days and heart wrenching firsts. This years rare shining moment was the birth of my new Grandson (named in honor of my little Brother) on 12/08. Looking forward to a 2019 filled with joy and good memories. We are blessed with our amazing family unit who is always there for each other.

2019 is going to be full of great memories…my daughter is graduating from high school, my son is graduating from middle school, and I hit my 10 year mark with CTMH at the end of July. I will be busy scrapbooking this year!
Thank you Jeanette for a beautiful New Years wish for all of us… I am especially looking forward to making many memories with my now 19 year old son who is a Marine. We will get to see him over the new years celebrations ( our Christmas this year) and at least 2 more times in 2019. I’m going to make as many memories as possible in the little time we get to be together….

I am excited to have another Great Niece (Markee) on the way due in May which will be my niece & her husband’s 1st child so we are very excited! My family always has a big celebration of camping out at the creek for the 4th of July where we make lots of fun memories every year!
