There has been some confusion around how to access these collections, so we’ve put together a quick tutorial below to show you how. If you’ve already figured it out on your own, skip to the bottom half of this post to see sample shapes and an artwork example for each collection.
*The following tutorial currently applies to people residing in the United States or Canada, only. (For our Australian and New Zealand crafters, all 13 of these collections are also available through purchasing a digital code from your Consultant which unlocks the shapes in Cricut Design Space™.)
**You will need a Cricut® machine that is Design Space compatible to digitally link your collections to your account. Any of the Explore models or the New Maker will do. If you already own some or all of the Close To My Heart collections in cartridge format, with the right cutting machine, you can link these collections digitally as well. Click here for a short video to learn how.
STEP 1
To start, go to your Close To My Heart Consultant’s website. (If you do not have a Close To My Heart Consultant, visit us here and click on Find a Consultant to find one near you.) Scroll all the way to the bottom of the home page and click on the green Cricut® button.
Clicking on this button will take you to the 13 Close To My Heart Cricut® collections, hosted on the Cricut® website.
STEP 2
Choose the collection you want to purchase and click Add to Cart. Doing so will pull up a side bar with the items you’ve chosen to purchase. When you are ready to check out, you can either click on the small cart icon or the green Checkout button.
STEP 3
If you aren’t signed in to your Cricut® account already, you will be prompted to do so.
Make sure to use your Design Space account information to sign in and then continue the checkout process.
After purchasing any of the CTMH Cricut® collections, they will automatically populate in your Design Space account, along with your other shapes.
STEP 4
To view your CTMH shapes and collections, go to your Design Space account and click on either New Project or My Projects.
Next, click on Images in the side bar, on the left. If you are looking for a specific cartridge or shape, click on Cartridges to view all of your purchased collections or type in the collection’s name or shape number in the search bar, on the top right corner of the page.
ONE FINAL TIP
Each of the shapes in Design Space is given a name and assigned a number. If you click on a shape, for example the first shape of the collection shown above, this information will show up in place of the shape’s image.
If you are looking for one specific shape, and you know its Design Space name or number (including the “#” sign), you can use this information in the search bar to locate it. When we give out project “recipes” (a list of products used), either for our catalogs or on this blog, Cricut® shapes are referenced by the collection from which it comes and its shape number.

Great cricut collections and ideas
I am very sorry that CTMH has gone all digital. I have only an Expression and now I will be left behind.
We understand your frustration. Unfortunately, Cricut® discontinued making cartridges a couple of years ago. We had no choice in the matter.
I feel the same way as Cynthia, I have an older machine that works great. I enjoy using it for everything from card making to scrap-booking and my son even uses it for his school projects. My question is do you have any of the physical cartridges in storage? I have about 4 from CTMH and I would love to have a couple of the older ones. I am betting Cynthia would like to have a few too.
How fun! How do we link our cartridges with the Cricut Marker? Is there somewhere on the Consultant website on what we can say to promote with our Cricut affiliate to advertise to our FB page to let people know to go to order the retired cartridges? Many Thanks!
Great questions!
If you have a newer Cricut machine that does not have a slot on it to accept a cartridge, like the Maker, you can link your cartridge collections directly to the Design Space® software by using a Cricut Cartridge Adapter. The Cartridge Adapter is an external adapter that connects to Design Space through an available USB port on your computer or laptop without requiring a machine.

I have not yet upgraded can i purchase the digital cartridges that i do not have and when I upgrade download the images?
You do not need a machine to purchase the digital collections, just access to Cricut Design Space™. As soon as you pay for your collection, the shapes will automatically get added to your image library.

Fun CTMH cricut creations
I know this is an old post. I haven’t been in the Close to my heart loop in awhile. I have recently discovered that certain “additional” stamp sets have elements that coordinate with the Cricut CTMH cartridges. I have the bundled ones when they were made.
Where is a list of all the stamp sets that have those elements in them? I realize I may have to purchase used stamp sets.

Hi, I have the CTMH Artbooking cartridge in which I can access my images on Design Space. My question is, do the Scrapbook Elements to make double-layout scrapbooking pages still work for design space? With the old cricut we had to set, for example, the proportional size to let’s say 11″ in order that everything in the scrapbook elements that I selected would then be proportionately sized so I could then print backgrounds, picture frames, etc. I would appreciate any help you could give with this cartridge Thank you very much.
